Nice food.. But the treatment of staff.. Im not satisfied..

Randomly came in here as our first choice was closed. However a delicious lunch at a decent price around an iori on a cold autumn day was wonderful.

Good restaurant.

The food is delicious but the flavor is a bit salty. Everything can be bought in the shops in Shirakawago village.

I would try other options if coming back. I ordered Hida beef miso yaki set. Not worth the price. One of the lowest lunch I had in Japan.

Friendly staff, and awesome food! The Hida beef curry was so thick and creamy. It was amazing. The Hida beef croquettes were divine, and I've never had a croquette I actually liked before. Lunch here was definitely one of the highlights of my day in Shirakawa-go.

Hida beef is so good! Definitely a must try here. It's very soft and juicy, though it tastes more fatty than meaty. Soba is also good. Great service.

Affordable and quick lunch spot right beside the bus terminal. Soba is average but the wasabi bits placed at each table was quite a good companion to the meal.

I used a shop near the Shirakawago bus terminal on a weekday morning. The inside of the store had three tables at the counter seats around the hearth and about 10 parlors at around 11:30, but there were about 4 other customers.The menu includes various set meals such as Hida beef's magnolia, miso-yaki, toroyaki, grilled tofu, young chicken kei-chan and wild vegetables, noodles such as udon and soba, and single items such as Hida beef skewers and croquettes. There is also.From there, I ordered a single pickled steak and a dokuroku set with two snacks on doboku, pickled steak appeared on a ceramic plate on a stove, mix it yourself and finish it, but if you take pictures of other dishes, eggs I got stuck and wanted to fried eggs, it was a failure. But hot pickles baked on a porcelain plate are perfect for a sake knob.And I'm quite fond of the graininess of the rice, and I like it quite a bit, and I enjoyed it with the gassho dough that came out as a snack on pickled steak.

Has plenty of selection from hida beef to ramen set. Place was crowded, but the service was fast. Quite tasty as far as beef goes

I have eaten a lot of Hida beef in Takayama one after another, but only this restaurant is the best. I ordered Hida beef miso set meal, yam fried egg is soft and delicious, soba noodle soup is slightly salty, Hida beef is roasted on the leaves Don't worry about being over cooked, the rice is delicious.

Good food in a cosy setting. The soba noodle soups were hearty and warming.

Location is good just opposite the bus station. Food however is alright, probably lots of customer and limited time to serve. If time allows will suggest to walk around and try others else this is a good choice.

Great food and big restaurant but I would suggest to go early before 12pm to have lunch or else you will end up queuing for seats as some tour buses will stop here for lunch too. Food is great!

Ordered four different sets-- Irori set, hida beef miso set, grilled chicken and a tofu set. Everything was delicious, from the main dish to the smaller side dishes! If ordering a beef dish, make sure to keep an eye on the fire as the meat gets chewy when overcooked and you'll waste perfectly good hida beef🍱🍱The location is super central so there may be a line out the front at peak lunch hours (which is what happened to us), you write your name on a list and theyll call it out when there's space available 😊 Spent perhaps 8000 JPY between four people, quite affordable considering the quality. Super worth it!

We waited 20min and parked 15min walk away. Carpark is reserved for tour buses. There were a lot of crowd inside so we were highly anticipating the food. However the set meal portion is rather small and average taste. We ordered hida beef set (only 3 pieces) and cold soba. Our verdict is Not value for money. Rather disappointed

Nice restaurant at Shirakawa-go Village.

Wowww, very helpful when you are craving for hot meals, this place is near bus stop, so before you finish your walking tour in Shirakawago you can stop by here to have some meals. Not so pricy and still acceptable price for tourist spot.

A delightful restaurant in Shirakawago. Nice selection of hot and cold selections. We had sushi and some of the local dishes and beer. Very unique local dishes and beer.

Excellent food good service, traditional Japanese and the beef is awesome! They have an upstairs dining area for tour bus catering, but the regular dining room is kept charming and quiet.

Great restaurant, price is decent for the amount of food you get, and to be expected in Japan. Excellent meals and great sets.

Hida Beef set was the best in Irori, should to eat here when you go to shirakawago. Hida beef is another recommendation besides kobe beef. Should try!

Highly recommended to start your day in Shirakawa-go by stopping by and having a meal here! It’d be great to go slightly earlier than lunch hour to avoid the crowd.

2020.1.30 Visit on the sixth dayFlying yak is really well-deserved, very tenderThe side dishes attached to the set meals each have their own flavors. They are delicious. If you want to pick the bones in the eggs, then it ’s the "miso" beside the beefI know it ’s a special product, but it does n’t add points to it. It ’s salty. It ’s okay to let the flying yak play a one-man show. ^ _ ^

Great traditional set menu, nice friendly staff. Delicious foods, the soy sauce sweet Ayu fish that comes with all the set has soft bones that is entirely edible. Very busy after lunch time so come earlier or get in the queue!

The quantity is less, the white rice is expensive, the food is still delicious, and more people have to wait in line.
